Kesgrave staged the first round of the Suffolk Junior League last night (Wednesday August 1), an unusual competition in that young riders from the 3 Suffolk clubs are mixed together. With the conventional teams unbalanced, select squads are formed of roughly equal standard, and a unique race formula ensures all heats have riders of a similar standard.

The competition continues throughout the summer holidays, with the next round at Somersham on August 8.
There was a good turnout of youngsters at the Somersham round of the Suffolk Junior League, many in their first year of racing.
On track, unbeaten Lewis Osborne led his Lions team to victory, but Bandit Ryan Bartram was unlucky to lose a chain in a last heat decider.

In the final round of the Suffolk Junior League @ Gt Blakenham, Mittell's Masters finally came up with a win but it was too little too
late to make up any ground overall.
Bartram's Bandits were looking to overcome a small aggregate deficit
before the meeting, but were unable to catch Lewis' Lions, who were
superbly led to victory by Lewis Osborne - unbeaten throughout the series.
