- League structure remains the same but Norwich & Somersham swap divisions.
- Gt Blakenham, East London & Kesgrave to enter B teams in Div 2.
- No change in officials.
- Fines for delays in sending match reports to league recorder.
- League penalty points for calling off matches at short notice.
- Supplementary rules to be published for region
17-11-99 Somersham Cycle Speedway Club AGM
- No change in officials
- Season Hi-light was winning SouthEast Div2. Hope to race Div 1 in 2000.
- Lo-Light was the matches when short of riders
- Andy Mittell wins rider of the year award
- Team to enter British Indoor Team championship @ Salford
- Finances not too healthy
01-9-99 New British Champs
There were new champions in both the Senior & U-16 British Individual Championships in the well staged finals at Sandwell. Full Report.
18-4-99 Kesgrave beaten
After an unbeaten league run in 1998 Kesgrave have faltered in their first home match, losing to Eaton. The Kestrels had key riders unavailable but main man Peter Ingram said "We have taken the stance that as long as we have enough riders
willing we will race especially in the NSL."
28-2-99 East Anglian Cycle Speedway Association AGM
- Although the association will not run its own league they will still promote the existing individual, Grand Prix, and Fours (to be held @ Somersham for the first time) competitions.
- The Grand Prix will again consist of 4 rounds (provisionally @ Spixworth, Kesgrave, Whitton & Colchester) although there may be some changes to the formula and scoring systems.
- Despite his absence Gary Brown was nominated Competitions Secretary
- Terry Ashford and John Nelson retain their Chairman and Treasurer roles respectively.
28-2-99 Kesgrave Cycle Speedway Club AGM
- Will ride in the SE1, NS & Essex Leagues.
- Pete Ingram (Secretary), Steve Webb (Chairman) and Paul Jay (Team Manager) & Dave Love (Press Officer) will carry out key duties.
18-2-99 Somersham Cycle Speedway Club AGM
- Steve Copping continues as secretrary, but Pete Williamson will be in charge of track and team duties. Gary Brown switches to treasurer.
- Unsafe track fence to be removed
- Richard Williamson wins the rider of the year award
- A decision to enter the South & East Division 1 failed, the club having left it too late.
