East Anglian U-13 Individual Final

Lee Richardson kept the U-13 title in the family (cousin Andy Mittell won last year) as he reeled off 6 impressive race wins. Team mate Thomas Pike got closest to him and lead briefly when they met.
The particularly young field deserve credit as there was no complaints about racing to a gruelling formula on a large circuit.

L Richardson (GB) 24, T Pike (GB) 22, L Slater (Eat) 20, J Slater(Eat) 16, B Collins (Heth) 15, J Abbott (Heth) 14, P Adams (Heth) 13, D Chambers (Heth) 10, D Adams (Heth) 9, A Turnbull (Som 6)

East Anglian U-16 Individual Final

The U-16 event was perhaps a predictable result with Darren Slater a cut above the rest, but behind him there was a good scrap for the minor placings. The region is certainly very strong in this age group, and elimination races were required to reduce the field for the final.

U-13 Test Match

Norfolk reversed last years result by winning with a solid display. Suffolk had the strong top end with Richardson and Pike unbeaten, but an absentee and very young back-up proved too much of a handicap.

Team manager: Gary Brown
Norfolk 71
L Slater 13+1, J Abbott 13+1, B Collins 13+1, J Slater 12+3, P Adams 8+2, D Adams 7+1, D Chambers 5+2

U-16 Test Match

Local rivalry was put to one side as Suffolk gelled as a team and won this very keenly contested encounter. Norfolk, led by the again unbeaten Darren Slater, contributed plenty in this entertaining meeting, and there was only 4 points in it with 4 races to go. Everyone did their job for Suffolk but Ryan Bartram deserves credit for continuing after landing heavily on his face.

Suffolk 97
L Osborne 17+1, D Pike 15+3, A Mittell 14+1, E Ross 14+1, W Page 12+2, K Hardy 9+1, C Osborne 9+1, R Bartram 7+2
Norfolk 83
