East Anglian 4TT
At Somersham 13-9-99
Favourites Kesgrave, lead by the unbeaten Dean Webb, won the EA Fours after a solid performance at sunny Somersham. Kesgrave riders finished 1st or 2nd in all their races and despite Pete Ingram nursing an injured foot, they never looked back after taking the lead early on.
Holders Eaton started well with a win for Nicky Bray, but found themselves in a tight battle for 2nd. In fact after 10 races just 1 point seperated them from Gt Blakenham, Somersham and Hethersett A.
Somersham's attack began to faulter when Dan Gould's chain fell off, and with Eaton & Blakenham carrying junior riders it was the less fancied Hethersett who pushed into a deserved 2nd place. The side from near Norwich also put out a B team and although never expected to score many points they should feel well pleased with their efforts and support of the event.
